SET OF 5 "SPEED" TWIN-WHEEL ROLLING CASTERS FOR AN OFFICE CHAIR
If one or more casters on your office chair is broken, replace all 5 casters with this high quality set to bring the chair back to life.
The attractive silver-spoked twin wheels are large, with a diameter of 60mm. (Standard wheels are 50mm.) The larger size helps them to roll more smoothly. The neck (collar) on these casters has a diameter of 16mm. The most important part is the metal pins that fit each caster into the 5-Star Base of your swivel chair: the pins on these casters are 11x22mm, with a diameter of 11mm (7/16 inches) and a length of 22mm (7/8 inches). These pins will fit most office swivel chairs, but measure the pins on the casters that you are replacing carefully because they might have a diameter of only 10mm or 8mm.
AN EASY WAY TO ACCURATELY MEASURE THE DIAMETER OF THE METAL PINS:
* Wrap a piece of paper around the pin and mark with a pen where the paper meets itself around the pin
* straighten out the paper and measure the distance between the marks, this will give you the circumference of the pin
* convert the circumference of the pin to the diameter as follows:
. - Circumference 33mm = Diameter 11mm
. - Circumference 31mm = Diameter 10mm
. - Circumference 27mm = Diameter 8mm.
FITTING THE NEW CASTERS TO YOUR CHAIR:
No tool is required to fit these casters to your chair: just pull the old casters out of the 5-Star Base of the chair and then push these new casters back in their place. All 5 casters must be replaced at the same time, because these casters may not be the same size as the old ones.
WEIGHT CAPACITY:
These casters are heavy-duty, so they are not likely to break under normal use. Each caster has a weight capacity of 60kg, giving a total capacity of 300kg (47 stone).
